What you need is a good cardio and eating program. One that I suggest is to use a treadmill in the following way:

Start with a speed of an easy (not leisurely) walk. I started at 2.5 mph. and increase that speed daily by a tenth of a mile per hour (0.1 mph) every day and use that piece of equipment for at least 30 minutes straight. 

In other words day 1 would look like this using the treadmill for 30 minutes at 2.5 mph
Day 2 would be 30 minutes at 2.6 mph
Day 3, 30 minutes at 2.7 mph. And so on....

Soon you will be running faster and burning more calories than you thought possible. 
The key to this is consistency. You need to do this on a daily basis, You can have a day off. I use Sundays. But come Monday, I get back on and continue where I left off .1 mph over last time.
