Forget fad diets and beat the yo-yo effect. If you really want to loose weight, fitness programs will have a lasting effect on your body as well as your emotional levels. You will find that you don’t feel deprived in any way and you’ll start making smarter choices in your diet.
A good fitness program will also give you tons of energy, you’ll be more active, have more fun and enjoy life with a new zest and flavor.
But before we can begin, there are some things we need to answer.
You want to lose weight, fitness is the answer that will have a lasting effect but finding the best program for our individual needs can be difficult. Choosing a program from all that’s out there can seem daunting.
We’ll start by considering the answers to some simple questions.
Is the plan I have in mind user friendly? In other words will it be something you will be able to use and follow?
So many programs and diets out there today assume that you went to medical school and are written to be understood by a doctor. Following along in these plans is hard and makes us discouraged when we fail. We want to lose weight, our fitness program needs to be simple and doable.
How does this program fit into your lifestyle? Do you have time to go to the gym or work out at home every day, or would you prefer something with less sessions but a higher intensity? Make sure that you can fit it in your routine and dont’ do too much too soon. Start slowly and build on your successes. Don’t be afraid to change routines if you find it’s not what you enjoy.
Will this plan help you loose weight? Certain fitness programs are meant to build your body instead of focusing on weight loss or an overall toned and tight look. Look into programs that have your goal in mind. We want to look good, not like the Hulk.
If you answer these questions, you’ll come up with a plan that you enjoy and fits your specific needs. So if you want to really lose weight, fitness plans will help you do it quickly and with lasting results.

Everybody would love to have six pack abs. If you’ve ever seen a photo of a model or bodybuilder with shiny, protruding six pack abs and thought to yourself “I want some of them”, then proceeded to do 10 sit-ups per day and wonder what happened; you are not alone. But you are also deluding yourself because knowing how to get six pack abs is not a secret; its just hard work.
With that said, there are shortcuts you can take to get a six pack.
A six pack is simply your abdominal muscles showing through the skin. Everybody has a six back – it’s just that in the majority of us, it’s hiding under layers of fat. So, you must first remove those fat layers before you can hope to see your own six pack.
This is where so many people go wrong: they focus on muscle building around the mid section rather than weight loss. However, unlike other muscles which can build up to grow, the ab muscles generally don’t grow much from working out. If you are relatively fit but just can’t see your abs, it is not sit-ups that you need to do, but cardiovascular activity.
Cardio work will result in fat loss and fat loss will result in visible six pack ab muscles. Along with cardiovascular training you must pay close attention to your diet.
The more foods you eat that lead to weight gain, the longer and harder it will be until your six pack is revealed. Foods that will prevent you from seeing your abs include white bread and pasta, high fat dairy foods, fast food and greasy fried foods, high sugar foods and soda drinks (just to name a few).
Foods on the other hand that will greatly assist in reaching your goal include whole grain breads, pasta and rice, lean meat or if you’re vegetarian: lentils and legumes. Vegetables and fruits are vital and nuts are also helpful. Drinking plenty of water as your main hydration source is mandatory and you can also add a supplement such as green tea into the mix.

When it comes to fitness programs you can be forgiven for feeling completely overwhelmed by the options. how many times have you seen a new advertisement on TV, or a website ad that claims to have the ultimate “top secret” fitness program for you – but only if you pay for it. These types of ads are now common place as more and more people are becoming overweight or obese.
Many people are looking for a quick fix to weight loss and as such the market for “easy” exercise machines like comfortable gym cycles and ab pushers is huge. But if you really think you can become ultra fit using solely these machines, you will be sorely disappointed. Whilst these companies use bodybuilding models to sell their equipment, these people surely would not have got to that point by using that equipment alone (if they even used it at all). To be clear, I will emphasize that I am talking about products like those gym cycling machines that virtually have you laying down sleeping whilst you cycle. Unfortunately, fitness does not work in such a relaxing way!
To become truly fit you need a fitness program that caters to your goals and your body type. You don’t really need to pay for a fitness program, although if you want to become exceptionally fit it is always useful to employ a personal trainer to assist you.
First you have to work out what you wish to achieve.
Do you want to lose weight?
Do you want to tone your muscles?
Or do you want to train to run long distances?
These are three goals which will require very different implementation of fitness programs.
Losing weight will require you to focus on cardiovascular exercise as well as some strength training.
To tone your muscles you will do less cardio work but much more strength training in order to work your muscles to exhaustion. As they recover, they will grow and tone.
And to undertake a fitness program to condition you for long distance running, you must run almost everyday and add extra distance each time. Not only are you training your muscles to handle these conditions, but also your heart and lungs which play such a vital part in such a fitness regime.

Losing weight is not rocket science! You don’t have to lose sleep about how you are going to lose weight. Instead, start taking small actions today.
Every small step you take towards losing those excess pounds is going to contribute to a new, vital and slimmer you within just a few months.
Whether your goal is to lose 5 pounds or 35 pounds, the first thing you need to do is to make a fitness weight loss plan.
Because you will want to be losing weight the healthy way, that is by not starving yourself, you will be using fitness to burn the extra fat on you. And to do that, you will need to input energy into your body on a daily basis. But it is going to be good energy, in the form of good, healthy and nutritious foods. Kick the junk food out the door and start forming a positive attitude to healthy foods – after all, they can be extremely tasty!
Diet pills are not the way to go to lose fat. That is why I advocate fitness and exercise as the ultimate method of weight loss. There is no point starving yourself to lose weight, or going on a lettuce leaf diet. Without proper nutrition you will become weak and sick. You will never feel like exercising; you may not even feel like getting out of bed. Your body absolutely needs good food.
Great food won’t make you put on weight, provided you keep your eye on portion size. Eating smaller meals more regularly will ensure your organs have time to process the foods and you will burn the calories off in between meals; without feeling weighed down.
You can still snack when you’re on a diet, but instead of crisps or chocolate, have some nuts, fruit, raw carrot sticks or other yummy nutritious foods.
Fitness and weight loss go hand in hand: if you are fit, you will lose weight. The more you exercise and eat well, the faster you will drop the pounds. So what are you waiting for? Get started on your fitness weight loss plan today!

Exercise? Fitness? Weight Loss? If you don’t have a clue where to begin, start with something simple. There’s no need to sign up and pay hefty monthly fees to a gym if you don’t want to.
Keep the cash in your pocket and buy something you’ve been wanting. Make it your reward for a job well done. There are many cost effective and fun ways to get a great workout in without stepping foot in a gym.
Fitness. We all want it, but exercising is hard at times. For some it’s downright painful. For others, very boring. How can we change all that?
in a word: KAIZEN. Kaizen is Japanese for “Constant Improvement”. in all areas of life. If it is done in the correct way, it virtually eliminates work that is overly difficult. We will be using this philosophy in our exercise, fitness, weight plans.
First of all, we want to find something that we enjoy doing. If we like it we will tend to stick with it much longer than if we don’t. Make sense?
Next we need to get into it in a way that allows us to start off small and build. For me, I chose martial arts. I enjoy it and it allowed me to start off as a beginner and advance all the way to a 2nd. degree black belt.
If you enjoy running, start off on a short jaunt, the next day go a bit further and pic up the pace very slightly, constantly improve on the day past in small doable increments.. Soon you’ll be going a mile plus each day.
Same goes with push ups or any other exercise that you might like to add.
Next check out one of the many exercise DVDs available to you in countless stores and online. or if video games are more your style, try theWii Fit It may cost a bit but it’s far less then a gym membership.
Thought I forgot about the weight loss, didn’t you?
We do the same with it as we did exercising. Let’s say that you wanted to loose 20 pounds to fit into those jeans in the dresser drawer. (I was in your house. I know they are there!)
make a plan to loose 1-2 pounds A WEEK! This is doable and sustainable. Slowly start to cut fats, sugars, and salts from your diet and cut more as you progress. this way you won’t feel deprived.
Don’t forget to drink as much water as you possibly can
Put kaizen to work in your exercise, fitness, weight plans and eliminate the overly difficult tasks. You’ll soon see the world differently.

Discovering a low to no cost weight fitness program is actually a simple matter of finding something that works for you instead of subscribing to the next fad.
The key to a treasure trove of free weight and fitness info is literally at your finger tips, it’s the Internet and you can find practically everything you need there, providing that you are willing to do a bit of research. But not all the advice you will find will be the best for you..
Different programs can all focus on weight loss but they all may use different techniques. Not all of them are right for us as individuals. In other words, there is no clear cut weight fitness program that will work for all of us every time.
Some focus on detoxification of our bodies by eating nothing but raw foods, some have you using a certain “fat burning ” product that does more harm than good, still others have you cut out a full category of foods as in carb diets.
Before going with this or that diet because a friend of a friend said it worked, decide on what it is that you want exactly. Do you want to fit in a bikini for summer or do you want to trim fat and tone your body? Could it be just to have more energy?
Keeping your goals in mind will help in your program evaluation process. This way, you’ll be able to tell if it’s right for you or not.
I have found that the best way to obtain a free weight fitness program that actually works is to create my own centered around my specific goals.
Building a custom program that you tailor to fit your needs also means that you will stick to it far longer than the life of any fad.
Let me share my custom program with you
I wake up in the morning and before I even have coffee, I do a 30 minute cardio jog that helps start me up. I’ll have some coffee with some fresh fruit and a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios with 2% milk. I don’t like the 1% or fat free versions, they are too watery for me.
I try to eat about every 3 hours or so in order not to get hungry and binge. As for eating in general, I don’t count calories. Instead, I cut out as much salt, sugar, and fats as possible, while drinking as much water as possible. I’m up to 2 liters a day right now.
For exercise,I focus on Pilates and Yoga that help in my martial arts. I alternate between them nightly and finish up with one more 30 minute cardio session.
My program is centered on martial arts which I enjoy immensely. In fact, it’s a way of life. Since everything in my weight fitness program is meant to improve that, I have less of a problem sticking to it.

There are now so many fitness books and magazines available, so how do you know which ones to read?

The best books are those written by coaches, professional athletes, scientists, nutritionists and military personnel. This is an all round book that is suited to people who want to learn more about the ‘how and why’ of fitness and health. However it also contains a lot of practical information with photos demonstrating exercises, plus calorie food listings.

Beneficial health is due in part to proper weight and fitness. A proper diet and fitness plan really does work wonders. This combination is responsible for many life changing transformations.
Just about everyone knows that a exercising rids us of unwanted calories and is great for returning to a more acceptable weight. However, there are more significant benefits that go virtually unknown.
A fitness program that incorporates aerobic exercises on a daily basis lowers the level of blood sugar in the body by burning glucose at a faster rate in order to fuel the body’s demand during higher rates of activity. That helps you to loose weight.
Obesity is known to be associated with lower insulin and high blood sugar levels. A weight and fitness plan helps get these under control.
The harder you push yourself, the faster you will burn blood sugar. But keep in mind that you want to ramp up your intensity level on a slow and even basis.
-
Here is a good example.
If you are used to walking at about 2.5 mph on a treadmill, start at that speed and walk for a steady thirty minutes on day one, on day two, increase to 2.6 mph, day three, 2.7 day four, 2.8 and so on. Soon you will find that you are running at a steady pace and you will not be gasping for air!
-
There’s more to loosing weight than simply exercising though. You will also need a healthy diet that’s low in calories
Try to cut out as much fats and sugars as possible and remember to drink at least eight 8 ounce glasses of water a day.
This may sound difficult, but if you approach it in a method similar to our running example above, you’ll find it’s not that hard at all.
You’ll improve your chances for success a hundred fold with a daily weight and fitness plan that grows over time. It’s easier on your body and you won’t feel it to be difficult or depriving.

Do you struggle to motivate yourself to exercise?
Or have you hit a plateau and are not sure what to do next to reach your fitness goals?
A personal fitness trainer is able to devise a customized plan for your fitness that suits your body type, fitness level, weight and goals.
Whilst visiting a gym class is useful, there really is no greater benefit to having your very own professional trainer who is an expert in health and fitness to work out a personalized plan just for you.
You always hear about famous people having fitness trainers; could this be the reason that so many of them look great? After all, how much does the average person really know about fitness? We know that doing exercise helps, but perhaps there are better ways to reach the goals we want. A fitness trainer can help you with this and more including diet tips.
The first thing a personal trainer will do is evaluate your current fitness level, your health, your diet and he or she will ask what your ultimate goal is. If you are focusing on weight loss he can make a plan that results in fast weight loss. But if you want to tone up and become more muscly, a custom exercise and health plan will be formulated for you to result in muscle growth.
Personal trainers charge varying amounts for their services. The most well known trainers may charge several hundreds dollars for a session, but lesser known but highly professional fitness trainers will be more affordable and no less effective. You will find a plethora of trainer advertisements in your newspaper, online and at your local gym.
The best thing about fitness training with a coach is tracking of your progress. He will be able to keep a record of everything you do and the results that occur over time. He can then refine the plan if need be, or teach you new routines that will improve your fitness.
A fitness trainer is highly beneficial for anyone regardless of what shape you are in now or what your ultimate health goals are.

I started lifting weight for fitness back in high school in order to get some strength to help in my new discovery of martial arts. Prior to that, I was the smart, quiet, nerdy kid that everyone liked but not a single girl wanted to date. That changed when I found my love of martial arts and in it, psychical fitness.
Weights were a large part of my workouts those early white belt days, I figured as long as I lifted, I would get stronger. I did have success with that attitude, but as my mastery over my body improved, I also gained additional insight.
Here is some of what I have discovered.
Certain equipment is needed in order to lift weight for fitness. The most common being free weights such as dumbbells or their bigger brothers, the barbells. weight machines are popular ways of working on specific muscle groups also. If you have issues with your back, a good support belt is helpful and gloves designed for weight lifting ward off blisters and absorb sweat.
Lifting weight for fitness also can turn back the hands of time, giving you a more youthful look, and a stronger, healthier body, (sorry, to the best of my knowledge, it still can’t grow hair).
You need to exercise caution since your chances for hurting yourself increases with the amount of weight lifted. It’s always best to start with a weight you can handle and build as you progress.
weight lifting is also a great way to manage your body weight since muscle requires more calories than fat to exist, so the muscle you add burns calories at a much higher rate and increases your metabolism without the aid of diet pills.
Your muscles also need rest between workouts, if you are even lifting moderately heavy weights, give your body time to recover between workouts. That’s why a lot of people work on an upper-body, lower-body daily schedule.
It’s essential to get the correct form down in order to avoid injury and gain maximum results. Remember that if you wind up hurting yourself, it means no workout for at least a few days untill your body recovers. (Oh yeah, don’t forget the actual PAIN!!!)
When done correctly and safely, lifting weight for fitness can give you the body you’ve dreamed of, more energy than you thought possible, and the wonderful attention of the opposite sex, all with less than half an hour per day.

When it comes to muscle fitness training, you have to focus not only on building muscles, but also on burning fat. It is a well known fact that when you burn fat, it’s easier for your body to create lean muscle mass. It is this lean muscle mass that will give you a toned look and the less fat you have, the more toned your body will appear.
So how do you burn fat?
If you are currently overweight then fat burning should be your first priority. It will involve doing cardio work on a treadmill or simply going outside to walk or run on a daily basis. You can also add in some cycling, swimming, aerobics and other cardio work that gets your heart pumping.
But you should not simply abandon weight training because you want to lose weight. Building muscle will actually speed up your weight loss process, so it is vital that you are combining strength training with your cardiovascular routine.
The type of strength training you can do to assist with weight loss and muscle gain includes free weights like dumbbells and barbells, as well as machine weights. The goal is to work your muscles to the point of exhaustion so that they will grow. Weight loss can be drastically increased once your lean muscle tissue starts to grow.
Muscle fitness then involves continually expanding upon the number and type of weights you can do at each gym session. You need to focus on all aspects of your body including:
- Arms
- Legs
- Mid-section
- Back
You should never work out the same muscle two days in a row (ideally you will want around 3 days in between sessions per muscle), so you can simply train your arms one day, legs the next and so on. This gives your muscles time to recover; it is during this recovery time that muscle actually grows.
Last but not least, your diet will greatly determine the speed and quality of your muscle fitness. A quality diet high in protein will only work towards you building bigger and better muscle, and providing you with more energy to effectively complete your workouts.

There is no secret about it: you have to undertake some sort of fitness routine if you wish to lose weight. To lose weight with fitness you should be aiming to do some form of exercise every single day; even if it is not organized exercise.
Examples of ‘unorganized’ or lifestyle exercise includes:
- taking the stairs
- doing housework; eg vacuuming, sweeping, washing etc
- walking to the store
- lifting a baby/children
Whilst these activities are not considered exercise, they will still burn considerable calories and you should count them towards your weight loss plans.
So how do you lose weight with fitness?
If you are not keen on running, consider going for a walk daily. Even twice daily if you want to speed up the process. Walking is one of the very best things you can do to get fit and lose weight; in fact it is just as good as running as long as your heart rate is increased for at least 20 minutes.
Have a Plan
Too many people fail because they don’t haven a weight loss fitness plan of action. Sure, you can just exercise randomly but you will be more motivated if you can see your plan on paper and know what you are going to do that day.
You can make a checklist and tick off each achievement – this provides wonderful mental motivation.
Journals
Keeping a journal will also help with your motivation, particularly when you are feeling unmotivated on certain days. Journals will also tell you what worked at a certain time so it’s good to be able to refer back to that information.
Enjoy It
Fitness does not have to be a drag on your life. At first you may feel tired, but over time you will find that it actually energizes you and your whole outlook on life will change as your fitness improves and your weight decreases.
To lose weight with fitness is not difficult; it just takes mental and physical discipline and a great desire to achieve your ultimate goal of a healthy, steady weight for the rest of your life.

Whether you are diabetic and have to closely monitor your sugar intake, or if you simply want to eat less sugar as a health and weight loss benefit, trying sugar free chocolate is a step in the right direction.
Regular chocolate can contain a surprisingly high amount of sugar, but this varies drastically depending upon brand and type of chocolate (dark, white, milk). Sugar is a type of carbohydrate and whilst your body needs carbohydrates, too much can cause harm to your health and weight gain. Taking small steps to cut down on the amount of sugar you eat is a step in the right direction.
The sugar replacement in chocolate is usually compounds like mannitol, xylitol and sorbitol.
Chocolate is just one of thousands of processed foods that contain large amounts of sugar. Every source of sugar that you cut out of your diet will make a difference to your health. So why not start with chocolate?
Hershey’s now make their own Sugar Free Chocolate after consumer demand led them to research alternatives. Nearly 21 million people in the USA have diabetes so these people can now enjoy great tasting chocolate without the sugar.
Hershey’s chocolates which don’t contain sugar also contain around 20% less calories than regular chocolate – so if your goal is weight loss you are going to benefit.
You can buy sugar free chocolate online or at your local health store. Many major supermarket chains are now also stocking chocolate for diabetics as demand increases. You will notice around Easter time that sugar free chocolate eggs will become available: so you do not have to miss out on the fun and tastes of Easter simply because you can not, or don’t want to, ply your body with sugar filled chocolate.
You can find not only regular chocolate, but also sugar free dark chocolate, caramel chocolates, peanut buttercups, peppermint patties and candy.
Sugar free chocolate tastes very much like conventional chocolate. As with all chocolate, choosing the better brands will result in a nicer tasting chocolate, so make sure you try various products before forming your opinion of sugar free chocolate!
For the best in Diabetic nutrition, try Optimum Diabetics. It was made to replace the nutrients you may be missing. And now you can get it FREE.

A good weight loss fitness program never promises pie in the sky results. Programs that say you’ll lose thirty pounds in two weeks and their like never have results that last very long and may actually prove to be dangerous.
To achieve our goals, we need to see weight loss in a new light. Get ready for lasting results!
Fad diets and quick results are only a short term fix, most people gain all the weight back and then some. True approaches to weight loss are never quick and take some time.
We need to keep in mind that we didn’t gain all that extra weight over night, getting rid of it once and for all will be the same way – over time.
I don’t know about you, but I would prefer a weight loss fitness program where I can see lasting results as opposed to the yo-yo effect any day. Even if it does take a bit of time to achieve.
The key here is simple. MINI GOALS that are ACHIEVABLE. Go back and read that line again.
You should set a goal to loose 1-2 pounds a week.
Now I can hear you groaning, saying “That’s too slow! I need to loose this weight now. You don’t understand!!!”
Well, I do. You see, there was a time when I got lazy and stopped my involvement in martial arts and started eating ice cream and other junk like it was going out of style.
I got FAT.
I wasn’t myself any more and was depressed and unhappy.
I got back into martial arts and added this weight loss fitness program:
regular daily workouts and a sensible diet:
Drink as much water as possible, cut out as much salt, sugar, fats, and processed carbs from my diet six as I could days a week with Sundays being my days off.
On Sunday, I didn’t have to work out at all and could eat anything I wanted, as much as I wanted. My days off were and are important because I would look at a piece of cake or pass up a McDonald’s and say to myself “I’ll have it on my day off.” When that day came, I found that I didn’t want to eat everything that I had put off having.
This is what worked for me. It was easy and doable. If you are tired with the yo-yo effect, give the Strip That Fat weight loss fitness program above a try. You just might find that it’s right for you too.
